This class is taught by:

Cate Wade

Wade-o is a lifelong athlete and it shows in her classes. Departing from the norm, she played Division 1 Field Hockey and currently captains an adult league ice hockey team, where she shows the dudes who is boss. She’s also a NASM-certified trainer and occasional marathoner.
 
You guessed it. Her classes have an athletic feel to them. She believes the power of her class lies in the people in it, who lead by example and show each other what’s possible. When she isn’t creating in the studio, she’s putting her art-school background to work and watching Boston sports.

Kayla Bell

Kayla’s all about fitness that makes you feel good! Playing soccer at the collegiate level sparked her love for all things group fitness and coaching soccer ignited her fire for teaching fitness. It also doesn’t hurt that she grew up with a personal trainer for a father!

Kayla loves the energy and support group fitness brings, particularly knowing that you are not alone and someone else woke up as the ass-crack of dawn to sweat too! Kayla’s a proud dog mom and has way more fun playing catch than her dog, Buffy, does. Be warned: Kayla’s energy can be contagious!

Cari Spinnler

Cari is a Portland native who moved to England, then ran away to the east coast, before coming back to her roots. She graduated from Rutgers with a BFA in acting and since college has acted all over town. She is now a producer and director at a creative agency and one day she will be the female Spielberg/Anderson/Kubrick/Scorsese this world needs.

In the meantime, you can catch Cari hanging out at the River Pig (against her better judgment!). Cari’s extensive barre background and NASM certification show the girl has skills, but her commitment to heavy pushing squats for the booty gains and moving on that beat drop set her class apart.

Olivia Descoteaux

Olivia’s a tomboy from Boston who, from the time she was a kid, was always more interested in whatever was happening outside and especially if it was something that girls weren’t “supposed” to do, like BMX and skateboarding. In middle school, Olivia settled on running and hasn’t stopped running since and loves the healthy competition that’s inherent in group fitness. In her class, you’ll soon discover that Olivia believes in you at least as much or more than your mom does!

If she’s not in the studio, she’s usually reading ― devouring as many as 5 books per month! ― or making really good Thai food or crushing bagels, while impressing the masses with her encyclopedic knowledge of pop culture despite indignantly claiming she doesn’t care about it.

Johnna Buchanan

From a small town in Oklahoma, Johnna has always been drawn to movement. She started in cheer and gymnastics and discovered yoga in college, which drew her to group fitness, where she’s taught Barre3 and reformer and mat Pilates. Johnna believes that movement empowers and creates a community in her classes that is inclusive, energetic and empathetic. Expect music-driven movements that are fluid and make you feel sexy as hell!

When she’s not helping you discover the magic of a strong pelvic floor, Johnna’s slinging wine for a local distributor, cooking and spending time with her labradoodle, Winston Churchill.

Kelsey Hough

Kelsey was raised on sports and fitness. Growing up she played softball and took dance lessons (everything from ballet to jazz to Polynesian). Kelsey and her dad bonded over sports – and she’s turned that enthusiasm into a career with the Timbers FC.
 
Kelsey loves a killer leg series and to challenge her classes to outperform themselves. Don’t mess with Kelsey. Not only is she a brainiac who is good at math but she’s also a Double Duck, with a B.A. in Business Admin and an MBA from U of O.

Sara Stimac

Sara is the co-founder and owner of Firebrand. Sara’s love of fitness and sports came from a shared passion with her father, John. She began in ballet and jazz as a kid but quickly outgrew her tutu and traded it in for sneakers. Sara began her fitness career as a step aerobics instructor (grapevine!). Sara counts herself blessed to have discovered Lagree Fitness during her hectic years as an entertainment lawyer in LA.
 
An avid sports fan, Sara brings the coaching element into her classes, along with humor and bumping beats. When she’s not inspiring you to step out of your comfort zone, Sara’s watching the Cubs, taking selfies with her black cats or whipping up some healthy Swedish meatballs.

Elizabeth Brandimore

Elizabeth has been in love with fitness ever since she was a 15 year old swim instructor in Fort Collins, Colorado. You'll most likely find Beth on the greens, on the trails or looking for the best taco in town. She owned NW Pilates studio in the Pearl for over a decade where she made lifelong friendships and turned out quite a few instructors as a master trainer. But nothing has been more challenging then transitioning to the Lagree Fitness Method and the Megaformer where she is excited to bring her milkshake to the yard.

Beth is kind of a rockstar who really knows what she is doing, having taught three Olympic athletes and focusing on form and bringing her deep knowledge of the body and proper movement every damn time. Next time you are in class, ask her why her nickname is “Frank the Tank.”

Lagree Fitness is a high-intensity, low-impact game-changer that fuses heart-pumping cardio, intense strength training and the precision of Pilates to deliver the most effective, safe and complete workout in the shortest time.
 
Classes take place on the M3K+ Megaformer and require that participants wear gripped socks and remove their rings.
