YOUR FIRST CLASS

We know that taking your first class is a big step, so here’s a quick guide to make sure your first Firebrand experience is everything you thought it would be – and more!

HYDRATE & EAT

Being hydrated and eating is key to powering through the workout without feeling lightheaded and recovering like a champ.

Be sure to drink water before, during and after class! We sell privately labeled bottled performance water at Firebrand Sports. Our Hydrate2o water is purified and boosted with electrolytes to enhance hydration, deliver nutrients and restore electrolytes depleted during your workout. We also offer a purified water system in the lobby for you to fill up your reusable bottle. (No glass bottles or jars please!)

We also recommend a light snack 30 minutes before and after class. We sell healthy grab and go snacks at the Front Desk, as well as offer fresh pressed Portland Juice Company juices for sale at their kiosk in our lobby.

WHAT TO WEAR (AND NOT WEAR)

We suggest sporting a tee or tank on top and form fitting pants or shorts on the bottom, something comfortable that allows you to move easily. Jewelry is not a good idea as it can get caught on the Megaformer. Please also leave the strong perfumes and scents for after class, as some clients are allergic. We do not provide towels, so please bring one (or more if you are planning to shower). We offer small towels for sale.

ARRIVE EARLY FOR FIRST VISIT AND SIGN IN

Arrive 15 minutes early to your first class, initial next to your name on the sign in sheet and let the front desk staff know that it is your first visit. If you haven’t completed a waiver online, you will be asked to do so at this time. Arriving early also ensures your instructor is able to make sure you have a safe and effective class! Please be sure to let your instructor know of any injuries, pregnancy or other concerns you have before class.

STORE YOUR STUFF IN THE LOCKERS

After you’ve changed in our changing rooms, please stow your stuff in the hallway lockers. Our daily lockers have coded locks, so no need to bring a clunky lock. If you need help using the lock, simply ask the front desk for a quick tutorial. For safety reasons, we do not permit anything other than you, your towel and water bottle in the class studios.

GRIPPED SOCKS REQUIRED

For our Pyrolates and FireBarre classes, we require socks with grips or soft-soled shoes intended for indoor use only. No bare feet! Gross. No regular socks! Slippery. All gripped socks are 10% off on your first visit!

RECIPE FOR RESULTS

We recommend you take at least 4-5 classes per week. Although you may see results even if take classes a few times a week, you’ll get results and feel maximum effect if you can break a sweat as much as possible! The key is to listen to your body and find what works best for you.

Our Pyrolates and FireBarre classes compliment each other perfectly and offer true full body focus. The combination is a fantastic way to get the best overall workout possible. The days of suffering through humdrum gym workouts are OVER! Time to change the way you workout, change your body and change your life!
